The Kneafsey Firm Successfully Prosecutes Contempt Trial Sending Defendants To Men's Central Jail

Sean Kneafsey successfully prosecuted a contempt trial against Adam Radly and Robert Bates for the violations of a Permanent Injunction and Receivership Order entered by the Honorable Gregory Alarcon of the the Los Angeles County Superior Court.  The trial resulted in Radly and Bates being incarcerated in the Los Angeles County Men's Central Jail.  See In Re Contempt of Adam Radly and Robert Bates, (LASC Case No. BC441388)

The trial was the culmination of over seven years of legal proceedings where Kneafsey successfully prosecuted multiple proceedings on behalf of his client who had been defrauded by Radly in the sale of his business.  Prior to the contempt judgment, Kneafsey successfully prosecuted two alter ego proceedings and a Uniform Fraudulent Transfer Act action in order to hold Radly liable for his wrongdoing.

The Court ultimately appointed a receiver to oversee Radly's family of entities, which included the public entity Inova Technology, Inc., and issued a permanent injunction prohibiting Radly's from engaging in certain asset transfers.  Radly promptly violated the Court's order by selling a subsidiary and Sean Kneafsey immediately initiated contempt proceedings.

At the conclusion of the contempt trial, Radly and Bates were incarcerated in the Los Angeles County Men's Central Jail and ordered to pay for all legal fees incurred in the proceeding.
